A leading Global Investment Bank is looking to recruit a qualified Accountant within their Capital Markets Product Control as a Senior Analyst.The purpose of the role is to provide the financial controlling and reporting environment for the Rates or Credit business areas in London.In addition to daily, month end, and year end controlling (for P&L, Balance Sheet, Reserving and IPV) it is expected that the Controller liaise with Front Office on ad hoc queries and assist with trade booking issues. P&L “explain” and attribution on a daily basis is also expected. The Controller would deal directly with the London traders and be exposed to the Business Manager and Business Head.The Controller is also tasked with communicating financial analysis to senior Product Control members and ensuring any breaks or material bookings are escalated and explained.Additionally, the Controller would be involved in various Product Control projects and system enhancements. Systems*processes testing and development are also key responsibilities. Daily P&L production (including operating revenues, cost of carry and reserve calculations) and furnishing P&L explain to F*O to elaborate on market movements and resultant P&L generation.
